Radon Testing
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that comes from the natural breakdown of uranium. It is usually found in igneous rock and soil, but in some cases, well water may also be a source of radon. Here are some facts about radon:
Radon is invisible, odorless, and tasteless
A neighbor's radon test results aren't an accurate assessment of gas concentration in your home
Radon can be easily mitigated
TVHI uses state of the art tamper- proof radon testing equipment. A typical radon test takes 48 hours of monitoring by an encrypted device. The instrument takes hourly readings of radon concentration, barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity. Instruments are calibrated annually, ensuring quality control in the field. Should radon be detected in your home, TVHI will put you in contact with a radon mitigation specialist.
